Adventurer Spotlight #9 - @j_ross__foz

Welcome to the Adventurer Spotlight, an interview series with members of our newsletter community about their life with their Subaru. Here, we find out more about the person behind the wheel and get inspired to embark on new adventures.

Before we get to this month’s feature, I’d like to thank Bethany / @bethanymeyers.adventure again for being in last month’s Spotlight. Now, let’s jump into our 9th edition!

Introduction

My name is John, my wife’s name is Rossy, and our Instagram account for our ‘19 Forester Sport is “@j_ross__foz”.

Which Subaru do you own? What do you like most about it?

A 2019 Forester Sport.

Why did you choose a Subaru? How many have you owned?

This is our 1st Subaru. We chose to go with the Subaru Forester because Subaru makes some damn good, family friendly…adventure commercials hahaha. We decided we wanted to have a “daily” that we could still build in a way that would take us pretty much anywhere we wanted.

Have you made any modifications?

Ummmm… just a few haha!👇🏼

Be sure to check out my profile and use my discount codes I have posted for everyone to get a little deal on some of my favorite products/companies.

What would you like to add to your setup?

I would probably just want to finish off upgrading the surrounding suspension components, some sliders would be cool, and OH YEA maybe some skid plates hahah ✊🏼🪵. I’ve been to a lot of places and have picked good lines so far so…haha ✊🏼🪵.

Favorite road trip? Or favorite thing to do in your Subaru?

I like to go out camping with family and/or friends. We’ve done some overnight trips on our own as a family and we’ve also done multiple trips in small groups of really cool people. Every trip we’ve gone on has been awesome in their own ways.

The connections that we’ve made with people, that we otherwise probably wouldn’t have come across if not for this community, is also what “makes” the adventure.

Wrap Up

Thank you, John, for being in the Spotlight and sharing your Subie story with us! It’s impressive how many mods you’ve done to your Forester and how well it’s all come together. It looks amazing. Speaking of photos, be sure to check out the huge image gallery on my site, and be sure to follow John on Instagram (@j_ross__foz)!
